{"id":201,"date":"2010-10-31T11:10:46","date_gmt":"2010-10-31T10:10:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.templeofhekate.net\/blog\/?p=201"},"modified":"2015-01-16T19:39:41","modified_gmt":"2015-01-16T18:39:41","slug":"the-covenant-of-hekate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.templeofhekate.net\/blog\/the-covenant-of-hekate\/","title":{"rendered":"The Covenant of Hekate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On this Halloween day, I sit here typing with a building sense of excitement, something special is about to happen, people across the globe are coming together as a community to work for a common purpose, regardless of background, tradition or religious persuasion.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><a href=\"http:\/\/hekatecovenant.com\/\">The Covenant of Hekate (CoH)<\/a> was born out of the desire to create a community and centre of study for those who share a passion for the history, mysteries and magic of the Goddess Hekate. This desire was dramatically demonstrated on 27th May 2010 when thousands of people worldwide performed the <em>Rite of Her Sacred Fires<\/em> ritual created by Sorita d\u2019Este as an act of devotion to the goddess Hekate.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I am deeply honoured to announce that I have been invited to be one of the first<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em> Torchbearers<\/em><\/span>, who can offer <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>mentoring, teaching, workshops<\/em><\/span> and help facilitate the running of this community. The<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em> applications<\/em><\/span> for membership\u00a0are open on the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>1st of November<\/em><\/span>; thats just a very few hours away.
